In 2016 Komatsu Forest Pty Ltd (KF) celebrates 25 years of operation in Australia having opened its doors in late 1990 under the Valmet Logging banner.
From day one KF’s total focus has been the forestry industry whereby it supplied specialised forest harvesting machines supported by factory trained local technical staff and a comprehensive range of spare parts both located in strategic forest locations.
In providing this focus and strong support KF quickly established market leadership in the early ‘90s. And today it continues to maintain this position through its dedication to the forest industry especially the logging contractor.
During the last 18 months KF has released a range of new products, which provide contractors with industry leading technologies. Starting with the release of the new generation forwarders especially the 895, followed last year by the new series XTs and recently a complete new range of wheel harvesters, which includes the 951 – the largest in the business. These are supported by new formats such as; ProAct 2.0, Maxi Explorer & Maxi Fleet.

- Komatsu 951: The largest wheel harvester it can carry 2,000kg heads & just released
- Komatsu XT460L/398: The high production combo with new series XT460L providing improved performance and cab comforts
- Komatsu PC270/202E: The ideal budget harvester for bluegum plantations with the 202E great for debarking rough small diameter trees.
- Timberpro TL765C: All new purpose-built levelling track carrier to be released in April 2016 at Austimber.
